Lots to share!

This week Wednesday
was our "Groupie" get-together.
My friend Theresa and I
have a group of about 6 women
who we hold classes for once a month.
We alternate teaching as well as projects.
Seems this month we had a new member join us...
Buzz and Bad Cat conversing before class...
and here he is waiting for us to adjourn to the
living room for our group picture
of all our projects...

he snuck in the group shot as well!
Too funny!
He's my "Crafty Kitty" for sure!
LOVES to sniff whatever I am working on when I am finished
and usually gives a little "coo"!

Our wonderful Groupies: Sharon B., Jill, Buzz,
Teacher Theresa and Mary Cobb
(I was the photographer on this one...)
This month it was Easter themed cards and a decorative item.
Here's some close ups of what we worked on...

That stamp set is from Our Daily Bread
and I love it...
This card is AWESOME looking in person!
The flowers and grass look soooo real!
This is one of those cards that takes a little time
not one you want to make 30 of...
but ideal for those "special someones"
you want to send a little spring to...
Although this is Easter themed---
it would work just as well for Mother's Day!
Here's a little closer look...

Lastly,
we made this adorable little basket
It is super, super easy-one square piece of paper
cut and folded makes the basket!
and Theresa gave us our choice of decorative labels!
The ladies were thrilled as they have a special event
coming up that they are hosting and these will work wonders
as little table favors!
This is where Poppa Cat was while we working!

On another CRAFTY NOTE
Moi is the guest
PRAIRIE FAIRY TUTORIALIST
and you can find my instructions for a
sweet spring project
I LOVE her digital stamps
so stick around while you're there and do some shopping--
they are delightful and bring smiles
every time I look at them.
Roberta, God bless her,
helped save my sanity last year while I recovered from surgery.
Her designs gave me lots of opportunity to play with my Copics!
(translate: helped me be still!)
I'll have another project posted there of what I did with
her "doctor" image during that time!

Today
it is absolutely beautiful out.
I do believe spring has sprung here!
Lots to do today---so
until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

Monday: More photos...

I've--make that we've--
actually gotten the bicycles out
and took bike rides this week-end.
Yesterday
I took the new camera with me...
Canon Elph Powershot 310...
I am loving it-let me tell ya!
The zoom--is awesome on this little point and shoot...
these are all taken on just the plain old automatic settings
no touch ups-other than a little cropping
and "straightening"
the lighting and everything else--
is au nautral...!
If you click on them and view them larger--
they are even more stunning (bragging-but hey--
they are!)
These little pics don't do the "crispness" of the colors
and the detail justice...
I was so busy playing with the zoom setting
I didn't "plan" on trying to get the turtles
and their reflections, too!

now I need Photoshop and to learn how to
crop that stick right out of there!
These were  taken across the culvert that these guys live in...
they were on the far bank from me...

so blissful!

I love how the closest and furthest blossoms are a little blurred
sort of a softer focus---with the middle ones crisp and clear!
Again--this was automatic setting
point and shoot... no photo editing!

When we got home
it was time for the cats to eat---
our outside kitties
aka Moe and Cocoa
decided to cooperate for a photo shoot...
when cats blink at you like this--it's a sign of acceptance...

they always start out with two heads in one bowl...

This is Bad Cat--one of our inside cats-obviously...
wonder what he's ready to write about...?!

Hopefully
this week will give me some time
to get some crafting done...
hopefully.
If nothing else,
tomorrow night is our "groupie night"
so I will have whatever wonderful projects
Theresa teaches us!

Until then,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

Serenity...on Sunday....

Yesterday
this little guy
knew his momma was upset---
and he was upset...
at reading/bedtime last night
he was curled up by my pillow.
He let me get in
and then curled up on my lap.
(almost never happens!)
We both fell asleep that way.
Today dawned
cool but sunny
I slept through the night
and woke up rested
with no headache--
a first in 6 days!
Then we went to church...
The message-and a prayer
for us to leave things at the foot of the cross
before bed
so God can sing us to sleep
with His love song
that we might rest
and start the day anew
free from the sins
that bog us down
and bind us to yesterday...
WOW!
while our praise band sang
found me on my knees at the alter
with prayer warriors behind me...
and I was reminded
that
IN CHRIST ALONE
is my hope--my light, my strength, my song...
and so on.
Not---man...
not doctors...not my own flawed thinking
but in HIM.
If I hold fast to that---
HE will guide me to what's best.
All those frustrations---
delayed test results, not getting test results,
tests done non-fasting that should haVe been fasting,
not wanting to talk about the real issues at hand,
and the list goes on and on---
were simply HIS WAY
of saying---
this isn't the right place or the right path...
Lightbulb moment.
I was too close to the situation to see it clearly
but He did...and thank you, Jesus
for blocking the way and keeping me from harm!
And getting through this thick skull of mine!
So-
the sun is out-it's cool but not too cold
for a bike ride...fresh air...
renewing...refreshing...
that's what I will do today--
some being still and listening...
He'll let me know
what I need to do---for now, I just need to
be still...and know that He is  God...

Until next time, happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

I Finally Christened the New Camera!!!

The much awaited, saved for,
searched for
NEW CAMERA
came last week.
I was too busy---too tired
to play with it.
Today
I decided was the day
I needed to do that.
It's a Canon Elph 310...
and, as the song goes,
a picture speaks a thousand words....

until next time-happy stamping and scrapping!

PLEASE---ASK QUESTIONS!

First and foremost,
I gotta thank my friend THERESA
for hanging out with me today-
GOD BLESS YOU, GIRLFRIEND!
And not to negate my hubby
God bless him as well,
who asked if he needed to go---
but well--shopping afterward with a girlfriend
seemed to be thing to do....and, after all
they told me
the ultrasound report
was nothing to be concerned about.
FYI: IMO: DRS. AND PA'S LIE TO CYA!!!
Long story short....
when the 4th request to have a copy of my ultrasound report
went unheard....
THE RED FLAG WENT UP!!!
Long story short-
based on test results from last years endometrium biopsy and
colposcopy--
that this drs. office
had in their hot little hands since DECEMBER 2011...
now I suddenly need 2 more tests
to rule out that "C" word---
tests that could have been done 2 weeks ago...
but yet now I  have to wait for another cycle
before they could even do them---
so yet more hurry up and wait---
and the kicker?
Orginally---
they didn't want me to come in to get these results
until mid-end of March---
so I  may have missed the window of opportunity
for yet another month...
perimenopausal...'nough said!
I had
a meltdown---a bad one...
but there is such a thing
as righteous anger and
because all I keep kept hearing was
"we do this, then give you those results, then in the appt. after that...
we can talk about.."
every. little. question. required it's own office visit---
ENOUGH!
The racket--I get it is--
how many tests can you do--
how many co-pays can you charge---
I melted down.
Literally.
I caught them in their own web.
And, as a result,
when I called this afternoon
to get an appt. with the GYN in charge
and ask for records release
to get a second opinion
was told---drum roll please---
I HAD BEEN BANNED FROM THE PRACTICE---
(for locals-beware of AZALEA GYN in Wilm.)
God forbid
 I questioned their judgement.
God forbid
I asked to see my test results
(which, legally,they have to provide).
I heard
"we are trying to save your life"
at which point I LAUGHED---
oh yeah--ORIGINALLY-- you wanted me to wait
another 3 weeks---to even get these results?!
You were seriously concerned about my well-being...?!
And we wonder why cancer-related deaths are so high?
FYI-Heads up-- please read and realize...
I cannot emphasize enough...
DRS. ---are not GODS.
They DO NOT KNOW---they PRACTICE.
YOU
have a right to know
( email me at sentbysharon@aol.com-I will send you a copy of your rights to medical records.)
My late husband's (didjagetthat?) chemo doc said---
drs. have a "wet read"on cat scans and mri's in 24 hrs---
no need to wait 1-2-3 weeks for results....
my drs office--had labs within 1 day-1 wk...
I waited 2 weeks-and only got results now
because I am a red-headed German Type-A
personality...! Go Me!)
We wonder
why cancer death rates are so high---
it's partly because MOST DOCTORS
(I've been blessed to know some AWESOME ones---
Dr.Ameen, Dr. Britton Taylor, Dr. Maloney)
but most-particularly now adays
only concern is how many co-pays can they collect....
Think about it!
My vet's office-
listens-acts-cures.
No insurance involved.
They "GET IT"
if only I could sprout a tail and ears!!!!
PLEASE--WHATEVER YOU DO----
GET THE ANSWERS YOU WANT AND DESERVE---
DRS. ARE NOT GODS--THEY "PRACTICE"!!!!

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

Poof! Word verification gone!

Thank you, Sarah,
for telling me
there was "word verification"
on my blog comment section...
I had no clue
(I don't typically leave comments to myself-
and don't check settings...ever...)
so until she pointed this out
had no clue that you poor souls
were having to do
what I myself despise doing!
So "POOF"
I waved that magic wand and scepter
and it's gone...!

On the same note--
earlier this week--I woke up
and logged in and on and---
to my usual aol page
and it had ALL CHANGED
overnight
the gremlins took over!
My favorites----were no longer living
where they used to!
PANIC!
(this was before much coffee).
I FINALLY found them-
they are now on the right.
It's been almost a week.
I still don't like it.
CHANGE IS HARD--
unless it's making word verification go away...!
Off to yet another drs. appt. today
wish me luck
and say a few prayers, please--
if they don't soon start working
on these haywire hormones...
well, it won't be pretty!
Theresa and I will do some shopping afterward
so it won't be a total bust.
The new camera is here--
Canon Elph 310-
I haven't taken the first picture...
haven't even loaded the software
maybe this week-end...
today would have been a good time to start-
the cat who has his own water pitcher to drink from
(he doesn't like the bowl)
didn't want  that---oh no---
wanted to drink out of momma's water glass---
which is tall and narrow--
and was only 1/3 full
he had his entire leg up to his shoulder
down in the glass
batting at the water
and then
tried to put the head in, too!
This is the "baby" (aka Inky, actually 5-6)
but still---
no way he was gonna fit...too funny
as Theresa would say...!

Some Easter posts coming--I promise!

Untl next time, happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,
