With all the help I've had...

you'd think I'd be done with prepping the
CTMH Footloose Workshop on the Go kits
for our Tues. night class...
but, then again,
considering WHO was helping me...
What are you doing---I'm waiting...
why aren't you cutting?
Really? You think we should do THAT next?
Did you mark that measurement down?
And cross that last step off? Huh?
Are you SURE that measurement is right?
I'm double checking you...
Let's see---there's one for Sharon B, Theresa, Buzz, Maren,
Jill---we need one more for Mary Cobb and we're good!

Sheesh.
The project is on hold.
I gave out.
My supervisor is out doing catty things on the back deck.
I think I will have a hot bath and a rum drink
and call it a night!
Tomorrow's another day, Scarlett!

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

A minute of musing...

I came to my blog tonight---
to grab that quote about salt water being the cure for anything...
I couldn't remember it...
and then I saw that
black kitten sitting there
looking up at it so intently...
see him?
He's right there---to the right!
And if it weren't for the white spot
and the white feet
he'd be my beloved Inky!

Move the cursor around him-
and he follows it-bats at it
very catlike.
Sometimes
ya just need to be still
and pet a cat....

they know-and they understand...

Until next time
happy stamping and scrapping.

Take two-a masculine theme!

Last week was my birthday
not only was I sick
but my husband was out of town...
the cats and I celebrated alone...
I talked with a few friends
and I knew I had an "incoming call" while I was in the middle
of one conversation...
I am not too techno-savvy
I do not know how to switch back and forth
so I didn't try.
A day later
I got the voicemail message from my stepson, Tommy,
wishing me a happy birthday!
It was a nice surprise
and I wanted to let him know I really appreciated
him thinking about me & taking time to call...
So here's what I made:
again-it's all SU papers and dies...the Framelets that I used yesterday
only rotated it on the fold..
this is really easy to do...but yet looks complicated & impressive ; )!

I used Baker's twine to add some red---
and embossed that anchor in silver...
of course popped up that image on the front
as well as the anchor!

stamped the journal pages several times and layered them
making a small envelope out of the top one and adding
a half-moon notch to it...

tucked in the letter and it's ready to mail!

Guy cards can be a real challenge
but these SU products made it really easy
and the fact that Tommy LOVES boats, boating...
well, that just sealed the deal!

Off to do some serious flyladying to an overflowing bedroom-
gonna do a few rounds of 15 mins. today
and try to keep that up until it's done.
Tomorrow I will have the card
I need to make tonight for my dear friend Betsy
who has survived (hopefully!) another frantic tax season.
(she's a CPA!)

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

Two things on Tuesday...

First things first...
as I forgot yesterday---
one of my faithful followers e-mailed me
and asked if Coco Puff had come home yet...
(in case you're wondering-that's the cutie on the right...)
Sadly, he has not.
And Moe (the one on the left, aka Cocoa's best bud)
is sooo lost without his friend.
So far
he's sticking close to home...and I hope that continues!
On the up side, our local animal control has been put on alert
and they've not called with any news-
so I am going with the
"no news is good news" assumption
and thinking he's off sewing wild oats
(well, as much as he can being neutered!)

Now-something crafty just

Saturday Theresa gave me my Stampin' Up order
and it contained this beautiful stamp set
the dies to cut these awesome shapes
AND that gorgeous seam binding ribbon!
(I should be a better blogger and have their names handy-I don't;
check back tomorrow to this same post and I will include them,
give credit to the person whose card I cased to make this,
The stamp set is SU's Apothocary Art;
the dies are Sizzix Framelets
and the blog that I cased the card from is
along with whatever blog "linky parties" I link it up with!)
Here's what I made:

I just LOVE these colors!
My copic marker was a bit darker than my cardstock
but I really think it makes it all "pop"
and compliments it well at the same time.
(I  need to go look and Theresa's Copics and choose some more colors to order-
I don't seem to do well with selecting from the website swatches...
and these aqua's were my godmother's favorite colors
little sad missing her...)
Sorry-I got sidetracked!
Back to the project...

This view below shows how cutting that shape on the fold
makes it pop out and "turn" as you open the card out...

Then I was thinking...
wow-this looks so nice and clean-
I really don't want to mess it up by writing in it...
but alas!
See that middle panel?

I  *think* I can write my message there
and yet when the card is set up and displayed
(assuming again-but hey, I would-just sayin'!)
the handwriting will be hidden! ; )

So-those are my two things for Tuesday.
I am off to make a guy card
since I've done some flylady things-
dinner's done, dishwasher running, coffee pot set up...
wooo-hooo- I have time to play before bed!

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

From trash to...

well, trash!
I have this awesome thing called a
You're saying a "scrapama-what?"
I know. Weird name. GREAT PRODUCT!
It screws onto the edge of your worktable
and holds your cup/drink and that black bag---
holds your trash!
It's completely portable-so you can take it to classes,
crops-wherever!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Theresa and I were taught you DO NOT
under any circumstances
put your drink cup on a class worktable!
It was forbidden!
And while I may do it at home-
I always worried that a cat would come along
and there would go my coffee, coke-whatever.
Not any more!
But that black bag?
Boring!
It had to go.
And since the ScrapMaBob people
very nicely sent me on tiny part I managed to loose
and I fixed it today
and today was my Easter holiday day off...
I decided today was the day!
So I raided my fabric stash
and found some ribbon
and got to sewing.
Then I decided it needed some bling.
I've had these flowers FOREVER---
and I am not sure if they will wash-or not-but no matter
a little hot glue, some gems and it's good to go!

here's the before again...I even lined the inside-no ragged edges!

and here's the after...whatcha think?
Now that black bag is kinda a light light plasticky material
that would wipe clean easily and not stain
My fabric is flannel--so I will either throw a small plastic bag inside
or be sure I just toss paper in there (no candy wrappers!)
I do have a plastic tote bag from JoAnns
that has dragonflies on it---that is the perfect material for this project--
so the next time I'm in town---
I will be picking up one or two!
The cup holder holds mega size coffee cups or drinks...
and here's my new fav-
Zero Sparkling (carbonated) Kiwi Strawberry water!
Their other flavors are awesome to
and NO CALORIES!

 On another note-
here's a photo of our living cross yesterday...
the flowers had wilted a bit by the time I got back up there
but it is still pretty I think...

That's it for today!
Time to finish cooking supper
and take care of cat boxes (ugh!)

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

I won! I won!

And the winner is....

What a wonderful marvelous way to start a Monday...!
To find an e-mail in your "in" box that says...

You won!

Wow-wow-wow!
I found Lucy's blog
through a linky party--
(I just LOVE linky parties! You get to see soooo many
neat ideas and projects...)
and she had a giveaway of---
drumroll, please---
$60 in product AND free shipping---
yooo-hooo!
they do VINTAGE papers and stamps--
Theresa is going to be drooling-
she's a good friend-she will still be happy for me
even if she is a little jealous...
(she used their awesome designs in a recipe book she taught
sometime back--it sit's in my Hoosier in my kitchen
and I absolutely love it!)

So---I will be doing some shopping soon
(like after I refill my coffee cup!)
and it may be just the jumpstart I need
to get in my room today
and do some crafting and creating today!

Until next time, happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,
