I Finally Christened the New Camera!!!

The much awaited, saved for,
searched for
NEW CAMERA
came last week.
I was too busy---too tired
to play with it.
Today
I decided was the day
I needed to do that.
It's a Canon Elph 310...
and, as the song goes,
a picture speaks a thousand words....

until next time-happy stamping and scrapping!

PLEASE---ASK QUESTIONS!

First and foremost,
I gotta thank my friend THERESA
for hanging out with me today-
GOD BLESS YOU, GIRLFRIEND!
And not to negate my hubby
God bless him as well,
who asked if he needed to go---
but well--shopping afterward with a girlfriend
seemed to be thing to do....and, after all
they told me
the ultrasound report
was nothing to be concerned about.
FYI: IMO: DRS. AND PA'S LIE TO CYA!!!
Long story short....
when the 4th request to have a copy of my ultrasound report
went unheard....
THE RED FLAG WENT UP!!!
Long story short-
based on test results from last years endometrium biopsy and
colposcopy--
that this drs. office
had in their hot little hands since DECEMBER 2011...
now I suddenly need 2 more tests
to rule out that "C" word---
tests that could have been done 2 weeks ago...
but yet now I  have to wait for another cycle
before they could even do them---
so yet more hurry up and wait---
and the kicker?
Orginally---
they didn't want me to come in to get these results
until mid-end of March---
so I  may have missed the window of opportunity
for yet another month...
perimenopausal...'nough said!
I had
a meltdown---a bad one...
but there is such a thing
as righteous anger and
because all I keep kept hearing was
"we do this, then give you those results, then in the appt. after that...
we can talk about.."
every. little. question. required it's own office visit---
ENOUGH!
The racket--I get it is--
how many tests can you do--
how many co-pays can you charge---
I melted down.
Literally.
I caught them in their own web.
And, as a result,
when I called this afternoon
to get an appt. with the GYN in charge
and ask for records release
to get a second opinion
was told---drum roll please---
I HAD BEEN BANNED FROM THE PRACTICE---
(for locals-beware of AZALEA GYN in Wilm.)
God forbid
 I questioned their judgement.
God forbid
I asked to see my test results
(which, legally,they have to provide).
I heard
"we are trying to save your life"
at which point I LAUGHED---
oh yeah--ORIGINALLY-- you wanted me to wait
another 3 weeks---to even get these results?!
You were seriously concerned about my well-being...?!
And we wonder why cancer-related deaths are so high?
FYI-Heads up-- please read and realize...
I cannot emphasize enough...
DRS. ---are not GODS.
They DO NOT KNOW---they PRACTICE.
YOU
have a right to know
( email me at sentbysharon@aol.com-I will send you a copy of your rights to medical records.)
My late husband's (didjagetthat?) chemo doc said---
drs. have a "wet read"on cat scans and mri's in 24 hrs---
no need to wait 1-2-3 weeks for results....
my drs office--had labs within 1 day-1 wk...
I waited 2 weeks-and only got results now
because I am a red-headed German Type-A
personality...! Go Me!)
We wonder
why cancer death rates are so high---
it's partly because MOST DOCTORS
(I've been blessed to know some AWESOME ones---
Dr.Ameen, Dr. Britton Taylor, Dr. Maloney)
but most-particularly now adays
only concern is how many co-pays can they collect....
Think about it!
My vet's office-
listens-acts-cures.
No insurance involved.
They "GET IT"
if only I could sprout a tail and ears!!!!
PLEASE--WHATEVER YOU DO----
GET THE ANSWERS YOU WANT AND DESERVE---
DRS. ARE NOT GODS--THEY "PRACTICE"!!!!

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

Poof! Word verification gone!

Thank you, Sarah,
for telling me
there was "word verification"
on my blog comment section...
I had no clue
(I don't typically leave comments to myself-
and don't check settings...ever...)
so until she pointed this out
had no clue that you poor souls
were having to do
what I myself despise doing!
So "POOF"
I waved that magic wand and scepter
and it's gone...!

On the same note--
earlier this week--I woke up
and logged in and on and---
to my usual aol page
and it had ALL CHANGED
overnight
the gremlins took over!
My favorites----were no longer living
where they used to!
PANIC!
(this was before much coffee).
I FINALLY found them-
they are now on the right.
It's been almost a week.
I still don't like it.
CHANGE IS HARD--
unless it's making word verification go away...!
Off to yet another drs. appt. today
wish me luck
and say a few prayers, please--
if they don't soon start working
on these haywire hormones...
well, it won't be pretty!
Theresa and I will do some shopping afterward
so it won't be a total bust.
The new camera is here--
Canon Elph 310-
I haven't taken the first picture...
haven't even loaded the software
maybe this week-end...
today would have been a good time to start-
the cat who has his own water pitcher to drink from
(he doesn't like the bowl)
didn't want  that---oh no---
wanted to drink out of momma's water glass---
which is tall and narrow--
and was only 1/3 full
he had his entire leg up to his shoulder
down in the glass
batting at the water
and then
tried to put the head in, too!
This is the "baby" (aka Inky, actually 5-6)
but still---
no way he was gonna fit...too funny
as Theresa would say...!

Some Easter posts coming--I promise!

Untl next time, happy stamping and scrapping!

MIA---again...

so sorry---
no fun things to post.
I am fighting again, yet, still---
with doctors
who mistakely think
they are God
and rule the my world.
I've had and known some very good ones
but
it seems more and more
that they are only out to get
more and more copays
and offer less and less healing and help
than ever before.
I am on a rant--
I know EXACTLY why
I have had a headache for 5 days
not sleeping (again)
and an upset stomach...
oh-and high blood pressure!
Thank you, new dr's office!
Tomorrow
I have yet another office visit
and this isn't even to address the hormones
that despretly need adjusting...
(that will probably take at least 3 more visits
and another 4-6 months...)
First they refused to release any test results to me
until they could get me in on March  23rd---
that was unacceptable!
They also thought they weren't going to fax them to me
prior to my visit---wrong again!
I got most of them, but
they refused to release the written copy of one to me
and suddenly can get me in---tomorrow!
(MAJOR mistake number two)
Then after the fact I find out
that a test that was supposed to have been done
wasn't...
no clue why...
so tomorrow
I may be posting from our local jail...!
Until next time, please do some stamping and scrapping
for me!
Blessings,

Ok---TGIF---My "Catch Up" Day...

Wait-
let me go refill the coffee cup
and grab a chocolate peanut butter oatmeal no bake cookie
(or two-you can't eat just one!)
hold on---
ok.
I'm good to go now!
Whew.
Been so long since I've done a real post
where to start?!
First up--
our groupie card class.
They wanted some "if they're awesome like this...!" cards...
meaning the "step card" format...
So that's one of what we did...
we made the step card.
On my sample I colored the images with Copics
(they colored their own!)
and glittered her skirt...
I couldn't resist popping up her little feet---too cute!
Then using "Needs Mummy"
and the pop-up tissue box I cased

we did the get well card complete with a
pop-up tissue box inside...

I tweaked her measurements just a tad---
this is a super simple technique to make ANYTHING
pop-up
just make a little box, attach it,
and then attach your image you want popped up
to the front!
Easy-peasy.

BTW: the Stampin' Up Word Window Punch
makes a GREAT opening for your tissue box-
Theresa can help you out with ordering yours...
I cannot for the life of me
find my sample card for the
"I {heart} You" word card we did...
but I posted that a few weeks back...
so scroll down through the Valentine posts
and you'll see it...

On a personal note...
Hubby made not one but two recipes of
KEY LIME PIE...
who knew CATS like Key Lime Pie...

This is Bad Cat-on the bar where he's not supposed to be
licking what little was left in the dish!
I've started a list of the weird things
this cat eats--deviled egg was the most recent...!

But, really no surprise
'cause my hubby is a GREAT COOK---
last Saturday we had our 4th Annual
Soup and Stew Cook Off
at our church...

Three stews/chili's were entered...
in their own category of course...

and then 7-8 soups...(I just picked the #10 spot--
'cause I KNEW---well, you get it, I'm sure...!

including my hubby's blue ribbon award winning
CRAB SOUP.
Last year he won hands down...
and, if truth be told,
they weren't happy campers
that he entered again this year!

The votes were in...

And yep, he won hands-down-
or should I say CLAWS DOWN--again!
They said
he can't enter it next year-he has to "retire it"...
Lobster bisque, anyone? Hint-hint...! lol!

Now I have to figure out how to incorporate the new medal
in with the awards from last year---
or make a new one to add to it...hmmm...
Later
I need to run out to our local sub shop
who's once again featuring his recipe for the day!

We are fogged in this morning-
it's damp and cool
and with the stress from awaiting test results
sweating job cuts
(thank God that didn't happen--this time!)
and not sleeping well
my fibro is raging today.
Drat.
I needed a week-end of lots of energy
to get some serious fly-ladying done
and 120+ preschool pics scrapped
for their open house next week!
Oh well.
Someone said  "we plan, God laughs..."
I guess I will take the
15 minutes doing--15 minutes resting approach...
and what gets done-does
and what doesn't-will wait.

Until next time, happy stamping and scrapping!

My poor neglected blog...

Sigh
I never got the cards from our groupie class
photographed and posted...
I never finished sorting and putting away the paperwork
leftover from my shredding
(we're talking 1989 forward people....!)
or flylady-ied much this week.
It's been up and down the road
for more tests-
and crazy insane at work
with newsletter, bulletins, phones ringing, people
and I am back to
being up through the night in pain.
No answers...yet.
Still waiting...
So-
in the meantime
for your blogging entertainment and pleasure
scoot on over to
and take a look at Theresa Lauren's
(or TT's as we know and love her...)
 18th birthday!
Gotta love this gal!
I've already been put on the waiting list
for my pedicure!
And Michael-
(he's the one on the left btw...!)
I always wanted a big brother...
(21 years later my mother gave me a younger one...
that's a whole 'nother story!)
I think TT got the best one out there tho!
He's such a good sport!
So who was your teen heart-throb?!
I am old enough to remember
Davy Jones from the Monkeys,
may he rest in peace...
(they actually visited me cousin's home
back in the day-she had been thrown from a horse
and was a huge fan-my godfather arranged for the visit...
a BIG DEAL in our little home town!)
and of course the Beatles...
David Cassidy...
Telling my age here...
and feeling it today, believe me!
Gotta go get ready for work-
today is my Friday--
so hang with me-tomorrow, Scarlett,
I will try to get the cards posted!
Until then,
happy stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,
