My One and Only Easter Decoration...

Do you remember the panoramic sugar Easter eggs?
I do!
I was absolutely fascinated by them!
Looking into that tiny hole
and seeing that sweet (literally!) Easter scene...
what memories!

Well,
I wanted to color earlier---so I pulled out my Copics
and a retired CTMH stamp set
some embossing powder and went to it
since I seemed to have stopped sneezing for at least a little while
and had slept all I could...

and after I colored...
I cut.
And then I got a brilliant idea--
well, maybe...
remember too the "tunnel" cards in the scrapbooking realm
again, some years back--
(yeah, I am old-and getting older!)
anyway-
I wanted to do that with the images I had just colored.
I don't have the oval Spellbinders dies
but I do have a Cricut---
and the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge
so I cut some ovals
and then some oval layers
and got out lots and lots of pop dots...
and here's what I came up with...

I am linking to
Heart2Heart Challenges
since this can be used as a decoration
but also serves as an Easter card for someone special
since it's based on the easel card format
with plenty of room for a message on the back!
Who said a card has to be the traditional
fold on one side?!
Now that I've done one--one or two more
wouldn't be so bad

Bunnies and all are great
but I also wanted to keep the focus
on the real reason for the Easter season...
whatcha think?
Does the "for you" bring your focus
to the cross?
That was my intent...
and yes, the cross and Happy Easter
are contraband stamps
(or would be considered so by some!)
I LOVE ALL STAMPS EQUALLY
(well-let's say brands---I do prefer clear to red rubber...
but hey-if I REALLY like it...and God knows
I have a lot of all kinds-all brands!

Anyway-
I need to eat and take more medicine.
And try and sleep again.

Until next time,
happy stamping and scrapping.
Blessings,

Sharon this is such a beautiful project. I remember those sugar eggs, my grandmother made them for us every year. She totally inspired me for a similar project I posted today.

Oh My! This is just wonderful - the details are perfect and I love that the cross is the focus. Very, very nice work! Thanks for the inspiration!
