Hard to believe
summer is almost over--
and soon the school bells will be ringing!
I am teaching our groupies this month
so I put my thinking cap on
pulled out some old papers
added some new stamps...
and I think I came up with
an A+ project
(I might be a wee bit biased tho--
so tell me what you think! ; ) )
Here's the 2-page layout...
close up of the first page
(yep, that's my "self portrait!")
Books on the shelf--
and my stack of self-help books/daily devotionals...
There's hidden journaling behind that photo...
Here's the second page--
behind that bow is a fold-out accordion book!
Here's the front of the little book...
colored with Copics
and the inside pages...
If you've not read
Wind Says Good Night
you need to!
The illustrations are ADORABLE!
I had a HORRIBLE time learning to read
when I was younger---
my mother and I spent hours upon hours reading
(or my trying to!)--using flash cards and phonics
it was pure torture for both of us...
but I distinctly remember that the turning point for me
was a book called
Lemonade Serenade or The Thing in the Garden.
Sadly, it is out of print--
but I scored an old, used library copy off Amazon
a few years back!
I included a list of my favorite "adult" authors as well...
and "signed out" my creation!
Here's the backside of that last page that folds in...
Hmmm...need to add something there...
Well, that's it for today's lesson!
My class kits are all ready to go for my students
on Tuesday of next week.
Until next time,
HAPPY READING
stamping and scrapping!
Blessings,

I like your take on the reading layout. I always see these about kids, but why we can't we adults document our love of reading. Great layout!
